Comfort Castle Nature Exquisite Tours

Comfort Castle is located high in the hills of Portland. It is home to the Comfort Castle Primary and Infant School, the only government educational institution in that section of the Rio Grande Valley. The Mill Bank Police Station is also in Comfort Castle and serves the entire Rio Grande Valley.

Cornwall Barracks Maroon Village Tour

Cornwall Barracks is a district along the Rio Grande accessed by the road to Moore Town but then veering south-east before entering Moore Town Proper and going up over a hill and down towards the Rio Grande.

Hayfield Serenity Tours

Hayfield is a small farming community located in northern St. Thomas, with its origin from the slavery era. It was originally a maroon village with strong ties to the maroons in the hills of Portland. It is an access point utilized by tourists to Bowden Pen through Cunha-Cunha Pass.

The White River is comprised of eleven (11) waterfalls. All are very attractive and mind blowing. To get to the first water fall on the White River, it takes 40 minutes’ walk along a safe uphill hike from the main road in the district. The first waterfall is an amazing site to behold it is about 60 feet high, running from steep rocks and provides a deep pool of water as it hits the ground.

Moore Town Maroon Experience

Moore Town is a small maroon village scattered along the Wild Cane tributary of the Rio Grande River. Visitors to the area experience maroon history in a village said to be founded by Nanny’s Windward Maroons and governed up until today by a Maroon ‘Colonel’
